VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The KCCB – General Secretariat is the National Administrative, facilitative and Coordinative arm through which the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops implements and co-ordinates various Pastoral programs at National level and undertakes all those responsibilities which express the mission of the Catholic Church in Kenya. KCCB programs and activities are implemented through different Commissions, departments and National Offices each with clear mandate from the Plenary Assembly.
KCCB – General Secretariat is seeking to recruit qualified Kenyan citizens for the position of:
HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Ref: KCCB/HRM/01/2026 | Duty Station: Nairobi
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HRM/Business or related field;
- Master’s degree;
- CHRP certification;
- Registered IHRM member in good standing;
- Minimum 8 years’ HR experience (4 years at Senior Management Level);
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan Labour Laws;
- High integrity;
- Alignment with Catholic Church values.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement human resource policies and systems in compliance with Kenyan Labour Laws and Church governance standards.
- Provide strategic HR advisory support on workforce planning and organizational development.
- Oversee recruitment, performance management, training, and succession planning processes.
- Manage employee relations, staff welfare, and disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, and donor HR requirements.
- Prepare HR reports and support governance, audits, and institutional effectiveness.
Terms:
Three (3) year renewable contract.
